- Reporting on Corporate Governance
CIPE, together with Reuters, the International Finance Corporation, and the World Bank's Global  Corporate Governance Forum, brought together 25 journalists for a three-day informational workshop on "Reporting on Corporate Governance" from October 15-17, 2008 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Journalists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia participated, along with CIPE partners Kazakhstan Insititue of Directors and the Kyrgyzstan Stock Exchange Press Club. CIPE Program Officer Elena Suhir provided opening remarks on the importance of corporate governance for democratic development.

Governance Survey Results
A full report on the key findings of a pioneering survey
of independent corporate directors in Russia. Two Russian
business associations-the Investors Protection Association,
which represents investors, and the Association of Russian
Managers, which represents managers-conducted the survey.
CIPE provided financial support and technical assistance
for the project.
