CIPE's Virtual Business Association (VBA) recently earned the Associations Advance America award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). The VBA is an online training tool to help improve business associations and chambers of commerce.
ASAE offered CIPE this prestigious award for its creation of the VBA. The Associations Advance America award is given yearly to a select handful of organizations that develop an "outstanding program which has resulted in significant benefit to American society."
The VBA received this award for its benefit to business associations and chambers of commerce, not only in America, but around the world. The VBA serves as an important tool in making business associations worldwide better managed, more participatory and stronger advocates for sound national economic policies. This innovative electronic training module also helps business association leaders to better understand their role in democratic policymaking. The VBA is modeled after CIPE's highly regarded international, on site training programs. Use of the VBA is free of charge. Anyone can access the site by logging on at www.cipe.org/vba.
