The U.S. Department of State recently released its updated report, Fighting Global Corruption: Business Risk Management. This comprehensive report explores the costs of corruption, anti-corruption efforts in the United States and worldwide, the role of civil society, and links to other resources.
The report is introduced by Secretary of State Colin Powell. In his message, Secretary Powell highlights the important role that anti-corruption efforts must play in all sectors:
As Secretary of State, I am committed to fostering new synergies between economic goals and social progress in our foreign policy... We welcome the continued engagement and support of governments, business and civil society working together toward these important goals.
