CIPE Awards Marek Hessel Grants

Marek Hessel was a former CIPE grantee who, until his death last year, was Associate Professor of Management at Fordham University's Graduate School of Business and directed the Corporate Governance Program for Central and Eastern Europe. In tribute to Hessel, and with funds from a two-year, $500,000 grant from USAID to support program work under CIPE's "Corporate Governance Initiative for the Transition Economies," CIPE's Board of Directors recently approved the Marek Hessel Small Grants Program. The first six recipients of these competitive grants are:
