On Thursday October 18, 2001,
the Center for International Private Enterprise and the United
States Chamber of Commerce hosted a roundtable breakfast discussion
on Corporate Governance in Russia with Gennady Kolesnikov, Deputy
Chairman of the Federal Commission for the Russian Securities
Market
Kolesnikov presented the newly drafted Russian Corporate
Governance Code to an international audience at the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The purpose of the meeting
was to discuss with, and seek input from Western investors,
business leaders and representatives of international organizations
about the Code.
