The senior business executives from Indonesia, Malaysia,
Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand who attended
the conference called for including corporate governance standards
in the ISO system. The group also recommended issuing awards
to private firms in the region that best incorporate the principles
of transparency and accountability into their management.
